From now on we have monthly interviews with the editors of this blog. Today we start with the first one, Daniël. “Does it matter that Papa Roach used more electronic rock in their new album than they did before? It just sounds awesome and it has a lot of energy!”

Fall Out Boy – American Beauty/American Psycho

  • This month you had the first Classics & Covers. What do you think about the first edition?
    • I think it’s nice that we’re doing this. I’ve always thought that the original songs are better than its covers, and now I can see if I really like them more than the covers.
  • What is your least favourite song of the album?
    • The Kids Aren’t Alright
  • What is your favourite song of the album?
    • Centuries
  • What do you think about the new album of Fall Out Boy?
    • I think it’s a good album, although it has some songs which I don’t really like. I think it’s funny they’re singing about the actress Uma Thurman. You might know her from the movies Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction. They’re singing about her dancing in Pulp Fiction, and when you listen very good then you even hear the theme song of The Munsters from the 60s.
  • What do you think about the song American Beauty/American Psycho, which is the title of the album as well?
    • American Beauty/American Psycho is a song which I only liked after I heard it for the second time. I don’t really like the first part of it, but after that it becomes better and better.

New released songs

  • What do you think about Apocalyptic which is released by Halestorm?
    • It’s a very good song and it has a lot of energy.
  • What do you think about Something’s Gotta Give which is released by All Time Low?
    • It’s a good song. I like the fact that some sentences rhyme.
  • What do you think about Checkmate which is released by Smash Into Pieces?
    • I never heard about this band. According to their name you expect a band with a hard music style. This song is quite calm, but it’s a good one.
